BOSTON MASSACRE EDITORIAL FORMAT

EDITORIAL FORMAT

INTRO PARAGRAPH:
1st sentence should be factual statement including your 5Ws (no bias here!)
Then state your opinion WITHOUT using I think….
Example: The rowdy colonists taunted the British soldiers, forcing the men to react and resort to violence.

ATE 1 (new paragraph)
 In this first ATE, You will cite one of the sources you analyzed. Do this by paraphrasing…
Example: According to Captain Thomas Preston, Captain Thomas Preston’s testimony makes it clear that…
Extension should use the evidence from this source, the facts that you have, and your own bias

ATE 2 (new paragraph)
Same as ATE 1 but cite another one of your sources
CONCLUSION (last paragraph) Briefly re-state your opinion and conclude your Editorial.

Additional tips:
Please include a title! Be Creative

Use a thesaurus to help you come up with descriptive words!

Drop Some Mad Meme Knowledge

Using your notes over the Acts leading up to the American Revolution, you will create TWO historical memes and then post them so others can delight in your mad meme creations!  

GUIDELINES: 
1) Be sure that your memes are historically accurate (you are choosing two different acts to create your memes and you should be using the content from your notes). 

2) Your image and your wording HAS to relate to the Act

3) When creating your meme, focus on either the colonists' reaction to the Act OR the British reaction! Choose one point of view to focus on!

4) We should be able to view your meme and know which Act you are referring to...
